Favela Seeds - NGO Platform, Mobile MVP.

Favela Seeds is an NGO that supports favela communities by promoting education, social development, and inclusion. Its mission is to empower individuals and transform realities through collaborative and community-driven initiatives. I created an app that centralizes donation options and shares the latest news about the organization, making it easier for people to stay connected and contribute.

Problem Statement

Although already having a website, the NGO faces challenges in engaging donors and volunteers more actively, requiring a more interactive and practical solution to centralize donations, promote events, and increase its social impact.

User Research

I found in my research that most users know the NGO through Juliana Nalu or through campaigns on social media. Mostly, they come from the fashion world or were referred by someone. These users are looking for a practical way to donate, especially for recurring donations, and want to see how their contributions help.

The user journey begins with the interest generated by social networks, proceeds to the NGO's website, and, upon downloading the app, they set up recurring donations and receive updates on the impact. The app should facilitate donations, send notifications, and clearly display results.

Take aways

As a product designer at Favela Seeds, I learned to better understand users' needs and how interaction design impacts the user experience. I improved skills in rapid prototyping and validating ideas with users, as well as understanding the importance of simplicity and efficiency in design. I worked on creating intuitive flows and how design decisions can directly affect engagement and experience. This process allowed me to better understand how to effectively apply these lessons, always focusing on clear and unforgettable results.
